The mission of Harvesters in the Kansas City area is to “feed hungry people today and work to end hunger tomorrow.” Their main facility is located in Kansas City at 3801 Topping Ave. and have an additional facility in Topeka, Kansas. They are a food bank serving a 26 county area in Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas and provide resources to more than 760 non-profit agencies.

YOU can help and make a difference through your generous donation to help them fill their storehouse of supplies. There are a couple of ways you can donate and participate from September 3rd-7th, 2019. Of course, you can always donate to Harvesters year round using details you can find on their website.

1st – You can partner with the KSHB 41 Action News and Price Chopper to donate items outside of specific Price Chopper stores. Harvesters will have refrigerated trucks at those locations. You can purchase the items and donate them on your way out.

2nd – You can give to Harvesters directly on their website giving a financial donation. You can give one time donations, recurring donations or even donate in the name of someone else to honor them.
